Monsieur Odom is originally from Warner Robins and graduated from Northside High School in 1992.  He was an ROTC cadet and was on the armed drill team, rocketry team, and color guard.  He earned an Associate's degree from Macon College in 1994 and a BA from Valdosta State University in 1996.  After moving to Mississippi to marry his wife, he worked a few years in retail management before returning to school. He earned his Masters' degree from Mississippi State University in 2004, and was a lecturer for two years at Mississippi State. He worked as a public school teacher for 15 years. In 2021, he and his family moved to Georgia and he taught at Howard High School in Macon from 2021 to 2023. He and his family live in Perry and his son attends Perry High School.  He has taught a multitude of subjects both in-person and online, and he has tutored students from all over the world.
