Bio

Kat Steadman is a Physical and  Environmental Science teacher at Warner Robins High School. She graduated from Houston County High School in 2013. After graduating high school, she attended Kennesaw State University, where she earned a Bachelor's of Science in Integrative Studies, as well as, a minor in Language & Literary Studies (Linguistics), and a minor in African & African Diaspora Studies.

Before coming to WRHS, she was a middle school teacher for 3 years. So far, she has taught 6th grade Social Studies and Math, 7th grade Social Studies, ELA& Math, 8th grade ELA and Math, 9th grade Biology, 11th grade Environmental Science, and 10th grade Physical Science.

Ms. Steadman says her ultimate goal is to let her students know that someone is in their corner rooting for them every step of the way. She believes that each student adds something special to the classroom dynamic and looks for ways to bring out each students' special characteristics, so that they can be confident in learning and life.

In her spare time, she loves to record music. She also does some free lance audio engineering for other artists. She believes that music is a universal language. Often times, if a student can't express to her with their words how they may be feeling, she will ask them to give her a song or image that describes or sounds like the way that they feel to get the message across. So far, that method has worked out great with helping her understand her students more.
