Our mission is to promote literacy within schools and the broader community, to provide a safe and inclusive space for critical discussions inspired by fiction, and to cultivate a supportive family of readers and thinkers.
Members participate in the Georgia Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl Competitions. Students must read the Georgia Peach Teen Reader’s Choice Award Nominees list which serves as the official reading list for each year’s competition. Members also participate in school sponsored events to include Literacy Night, Book Fair, and Demon Fest.
We support and encourage the love of reading.

Membership Requirements: Open to all WRHS students
Financial Obligations/Dues: $20 (includes a club T-shirt)
Planned Activities: Weekly meetings plus Regional, Division, and State Competitions in February and March.
