Over the last 27 years I have been a Tiger (Minor High School), a Mountie (Shades Valley High School) a Husky (Hewitt-Trussville High School) and now I am very proud to be part of the Demon Family.  I am originally from Birmingham, Alabama and received my B.S. degree in Secondary Comprehensive Science Education (1990) and a M.A. in Physics Education (2018) from the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!).  One of the most challenging and rewarding experiences for me as an educator was achieving National Board Certification in AYA Science (Physics) in 2014. My husband and I have been married for 32 years and have three wonderful children.  Cate is a senior at UAB majoring in Engineering Design.  Blake is a junior at  Huntingdon College majoring in Accounting and plays goalie for the lacrosse team.  Our youngest, L, is a senior in high school and loves participating in choir and theater.
