The WRHS Media Center mission is to assists students as independent researchers,
critical thinkers who are capable users of technology, and successful communicators. 
It is also the mission of the media center to support learning and reading for pleasure.

 Policies and Procedures

Printing and Copies - Black and white printing is $.15 per page. Students may use the copier for $.15 per page or $.25 double-sided.

Book Checkout - Most books are checked out for a 2 week period.  If books are returned late, the fine is $.10 per school day.  We will renew books up to two times.  Lost books and other materials must be paid for.  Notices for fines and overdue books are sent out with progress reports/report cards.

BYOD - Students will be allowed to use their own device and access the Wifi in the Media Center as long as they do not disturb those around them.

During the Day -  Students may come to the library during the school day to check out books or work on a specific assignment as long as they have a pass from their classroom teacher.  Teachers should only send 3 students at a time to the library.

Reference Materials - Reference books can be checked out overnight.  Reference items must be returned to the Media Center by 7:45 am the following day.  The fine for reference materials is $.25 per day.

Computers - Media Center computers are available in the morning from 7:00 - 7:40 and after school Mon-Thurs. from 2:45 - 3:15 (Fridays 2:45 - 3:00).  In order to use a computer in the Media Center during the day, a student must have a pass from their teacher. 

Kindle Checkout - Kindles are available for student checkout.  Books are already downloaded on the Kindle.  Checkout for the Kindle is for a 2-week period and the overdue fine is $.50 per day.  A Kindle Permission Form is required and can be found under Forms.

Online Resources - There are a variety of Online Resources available to students for research.  The password for Galileo and other databases are available in the Media Center.  We would loved to assist students in using these resources on our computers on or on their own device.  Find these resources on the Student Links page.
