Michael joined the Warner Robins High School Staff in July 2019. Michael serves as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach/Running Back Coach/Physical Education Teacher at Warner Robins High School.

Prior to joining the Warner Robins High School Staff, Michael served as an Exercise Physiologist with the Navicent Health and Wellness Staff in Macon, Georgia. While working with the Navicent Health and Wellness Staff, Michael conducted new Wellness Center member health and physical activity assessments by specifically obtaining baseline heart rate, blood pressure, body composition, and waist measurements. Michael also performed submaximal cardiovascular testing utilizing YMCA Step Test or YMCA Cycle Ergometer Test on medically qualifying Wellness Center members to obtain the Wellness Center member’s estimated aerobic threshold. Additionally, Michael guided and directed new Wellness Center members through Beginner Strength Training Programs and designed and implemented individualized exercise programs for Personal Training Clients

Prior to working as an Exercise Physiologist with the Navicent Health and Wellness Staff, Michael served as a Restricted Earnings Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach with the University of Georgia Olympic Sports Strength and Conditioning Staff. While serving as a Restricted Earnings Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Georgia, Michael designed and implemented the annual strength and conditioning programs for Women’s Golf, Men’ and Women’s Diving, Men’s and Women’s Cross Country, Men’s and Women’s Cheerleading, and Equestrian Teams. Michael also served as the lead strength and conditioning assistant for the University of Georgia Men’s Basketball and Baseball Teams.

Before rejoining the UGA Athletic Association, Michael served as a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Valdosta State University. As a Graduate Assistant, Michael designed and implemented the strength and conditioning programs for the VSU Women’s Soccer, Women’s Basketball, and Men’s Golf Teams. In addition, Michael assisted in the implementation of the VSU Football strength and conditioning program. 

Michael began his strength and conditioning/coaching career as a student volunteer at the University of Georgia in 2011. Michael earned his Bachelor of Science in Education in Exercise and Sport Science and Nutrition Minor from the University of Georgia 2012. He continued his education while at Valdosta State University earning a Masters of Public Administration in 2015. Michael is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) as well as a Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach (RSCC). Michael is also a member of the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) and is certified as a Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC). As well, Michael is a certified as a Functional Range Conditioning Certified Mobility Specialist (FRCms) and a Certified Level 1 Functional Movement Screen (FMS) Professional.
